Today is election day - and one for the books! No matter what the outcome, it is a very historical election. Whether you like her or not, Hillary Clinton is the first woman candidate for president of the United States. Do I necessarily think she is a good first woman president? No. But nonetheless, the idea of a woman becoming a leader of our country is historical and inspiring. I wish to show Avery the importance of voting and how it is a right of hers as an American citizen that she should exercise when able. I will always encourage her to think for herself and I also hope that one day Avery understands she can be anything she wants to be - even president! Now, I am not a huge fan of politicians and what they represent. But maybe Avery can be the first president who doesn't lie. Hey, one can dream right?
