Happy Fourth of July!

This weekend we had a wonderful time visiting with family. Avery was able to meet more family members and enjoyed her weekend out and about! She was able to enjoy the outdoors and even dipped into the pool for a little bit. She seems to really enjoy the summer breeze and fresh air. I hope she likes the outdoors as much as Chris and I do (and I think she will!). We are so blessed that our families live close by and she is able to spend time with her loved ones. We hope everyone had a safe and fun Independence Day!

Cheering Daddy on at his Marathon

We went up to Lebuc, Maine with my parents and sister Sammie to watch Chris run in his marathon. It was a wonderful weekend. Perfect weather and very relaxing. Avery was amazing on the trip up and back home. She travels so well and we were even able to stop for some ice cream! Chris did well and finished the marathon. He ran some of the race in the US and most of it in Canada. It was really cool and Chris said it was a beautiful race. We are all so proud of him! It was so nice having Sammie up for the weekend with us too, to spend time with Avery. My mom and Sammie took her during the nights so Chris and I actually got full nights sleep that weekend. It was amazing! I hadn't had a full night sleep since before she was born (with her bouncing on my bladder every two seconds) so it was a wonderful surprise! That weekend Avery showed some major changes. She socially smiles a lot more now, starting to babble and coo and engages in simple play activities. She likes to focus on your face and stare at you. She is becoming a lot more fun. She is awake more and her personality is beginning to come out. We are having so much fun with her!
