Oliver is now officially a year and a half old. He might be the tallest 18 month old out there right now; standing at 3 feet tall. 36 inches is off the charts in height for his age. According to his doctor, if he continues to grow the way he is growing, he will be over 6 feet tall as an adult. He weighs 31 pounds which slowed down a little bit from his virus in September, but it still puts him in the 99th percentile for his age. He is a string bean but super strong and keeping us on our toes! He has the sweetest personality; always looking to cuddle or sit on your lap to read a book. He is also ALL boy and is constantly climbing on everything and throwing his body into pillows, people and the couch. I am getting grey hairs and I blame every single one of them on Oliver.
We had a great October. Avery counted down the days until Halloween. Like most families, we tried to make this year extra special. We did a lot of pumpkin decorating and carving, a haunted gingerbread house, a candy hunt and ended with a little bit of trick or treating. Our friends have the perfect dead end street where we went to about 12 houses or so. A lot of people just left candy out on tables but they also got to say trick or treat to a few neighbors! One even had a special candy chute that sent candy flying into their buckets. Avery had a blast and even Oliver joined in and picked out some candy. This might be Avery's favorite holiday, even over Christmas (for now!). It was so fun watching Halloween movies with her this year and preparing for trick or treating. She had a fun Halloween party at school with her friends. She, of course, was the only Darth Vader. We also got our first snow fall. Avery was beyond excited, saying that it means Christmas is coming. Oliver was not so sure what to think about it but I think once we get him on a sled, he will love it! I'm not a fan of snow but I am excited to get Avery out on her skis this winter. I'm even more excited for the holidays coming up!
