Happy 9 Months, Avery Lynn!!

Happy 9 months to my sweet Avery Lynn. It seems as though the last couple of blog posts have been just monthly updates of her. Which is sad on one hand because I used to be a little better about blogging. But on the other hand it makes total sense considering the kid is non-stop and I am down right exhausted! Even with her sleeping through the night I still wake up tired. She is so active and loves to explore her surroundings. She is very playful and always wants to be doing something - hence my exhaustion. It's wonderful watching her learn and grow; she's having so much fun doing it. Always a smile on her face! Which, by the way, has a few more teeth! She's got about 6 of them now, with one of them still trying to pop through I think. Lots and lots of drool! Avery loves to brush her teeth now that she's got them and she is discovering all kinds of table foods. The kid will really eat anything! She weighs about 24 pounds now. She is motoring around pretty good now and it is really fun watching her learn how to shift her weight and coordinate movements to get her body to do what she wants it to do. She is pulling herself up from sitting to standing and she can go from belly to sitting as well. She is a pro at standing with assistance (of either a person or a play table) and is starting to get brave by letting go with one hand and also trying to walk around objects. With all this in mind, we have lowered her crib once again and it is now at it's lowest level. Not sure why this is such a big deal to me, but it is. It's like the next step is a toddler bed and it sort of made me sad (even though a toddler bed is still far down the road). Another sad realization is that she has now been alive almost longer than she was inside of me! How has time flown by so fast? She is growing so quickly! But we are loving every minute (well, most minutes hehe) Her laugh is contagious, her sweet and loving demeanor is captivating (she gives the best hugs and kisses), she is so silly and freaking hilarious and she's got a sunny personality. Chris and I are so proud of her!
