Happy Two Months Avery Lynn!

I can't believe this little lady is already 2 months old! Time sure has flown by fast. She is such a love. She is just so much fun; a wonderfully happy baby. Avery is 12.5 pounds (75th percentile) and 24 inches long (97th percentile). She loves to smile and play on her mat and bat her toys around. She also enjoys looking at herself in a mirror and snuggling. She is starting to chit chat more and - praise the heavens above - Avery is beginning to sleep through the night. She continues to teach us something new every day and I love that about her. I still can't believe I created this tiny little human; she is half me. I have never been more proud of anything else. We love her so much!

5 Generations: Meeting Her Great-great-grandparents

Travelling with an infant leads to a whole new level of travel. The entire definition of travel is different. Between diapers, burp cloths, bottles, pack n play, etc you would think we were moving across the country or something. The idea of "packing light" no longer exists (though I'm sure Chris would say packing light was never a concept for me). Having said that, Avery herself is a fantastic little traveler. She pretty much slept in the car the whole time or was able to entertain herself by chatting or batting at a toy. My family really enjoyed meeting her. We are so blessed to have the rare occurrence of 5 generations; not only once but twice! Both are on my mother's side; one is my grandmother's father and the other is my grandfather's mother. Both of my great-grandparents were able to hold Avery and were so thrilled to spend some time with her. It was a very special trip. Travelling with a 7 week old is not easy but it was totally worth it. Though Avery will not be able to remember her visit, I know I will and I will cherish it forever.
